📣 See Mar. 21 Update below …
I’m writing to inform you of an alligator sighting this evening in the lake along Radio Road. The safety and well-being of our residents remain our top priorities, and we want to ensure everyone is aware of the situation.
The sighting has been reported to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Once the approximate size is confirmed to be over four (4) feet, or if there are signs of concern, we will contact FWC’s Nuisance Wildlife Hotline at 866-392-4286 to request trapping services.
In the meantime, as the banks and water are their natural habitat, we kindly ask all residents to exercise caution when near the lake, especially if you have small children or pets. Please avoid approaching the water’s edge and do not attempt to feed or interact with the alligator.
Update Mar 21:
Please be advised that FWC SNAP has been contacted by Management and has been provided with reference/permit number #824663. They have up to 24 hours to make contact. If any resident reaches out to FWC, it is important to reference this number.
As the lake and surrounding banks are part of the alligator’s natural habitat, we kindly ask all residents to exercise caution when near the water, especially those with small children or pets. Please avoid approaching the water’s edge and do not attempt to feed or interact with the alligator.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
